I can give you house...dot com

http://www.icangiveyouhouse.com/2011/02/14/fedde-le-grand-feat-patric-la-funk-autosave-original-mix/

Ah finally, someone (i.e. the guy who gave us the eternal classic "put your hands up for Detroit") Fedde Le Grand (how can he not be awesome with a name like Fedde) gives Deadmau5 the fuck you he's needed for years. Enjoy.

Piracy, Rum, and Frenchists

In an effort to start this off right, I spent most of my morning ignoring my responsibilities and thinking of what I should do for my inaugural post; I came up with nothing. Bashing Tarnish is rather difficult as his one redeeming quality is his decent taste in music.

Edward Maya, simply great.
White Panda, master at his craft.
Duck Sauce, great name.

But what makes me feel like a proud, drunk uncle is the inclusion of Avicii. Tim Berg has some solid hits out and is one his way to being a frat staple. His other songs, in my personal opinion, are fantastic.

"My Feelings For You" is a track that can easily be mixed into a set. A little like Sharam in his lyrics, but solid not the less

Certainly not to be ignored is "Seek Bromance." Basically designed for a rage. A little slow at parts, but it makes up for it when it picks up. (sans vocals is the second link).

Levitt sent me a link Na Palm over the summer, I currently came across a remix of one of his songs that seems to agree with the general theme of frat.

My love of the Caribbean and things tropical sounding lead me to Mohombi. I think he could be the next Pitbull, save the fact that his songs may include French instead of Spanish.

Starting February Off

Lupe Fiasco - Words I Never Said [new Lupe. sounds pretty good]
Brenton Duvall - Mean Planes and Taylor Gangs [Brenton Duvall has some pretty good mashups and mixes. This one featuring Wiz Khalifa and Taylor Swift is definitely not one to be missed. Also check out Tayyib Ali - Pretty Little Penthouse. Brenton Duvall produced this and its got a different sound. Its growing on me. And if you don't have it already Brenton Duvall - Against A Mad World is definitely a must download. And finally also check out his throwing some electronic sounds on Gucci Mane in Brenton Duvall - That's All. Even I'm probably just more inclined to add that last song for its name.]
White Panda - Disposition Down [WP just knows how to mix songs together so damn well]
Edward Maya ft Vika Jigulina - Desert Rain (AG Remix) [If you're a stranger to Edward Maya, you shouldn't be. He has brought us (the now overplayed) Stereo Love.  While I liked his original mix, I definitely like this remix]
Invigilators ft. Sonny Shotz - Rise Above  [I don't even really know who the hell this, but its got a Dean's List tag at the beginning and I'm feeling the song]
Her Majesty and the Wolves - Glaciers (Roksonix Remix)
Avicii - Sweet Dreams
Akon - One More Time [All Akon does is make bangers]
Wiz Khalifa - Roll Up [Wiz unloading track after track. This one is a chill rap by the guy who will definitely out of Beta Beach price range as he blows up in 2011]
Duck Sauce vs. Michael Jackson - Beat Barbara Streisand (Nonsenz Mashup) [Some MJ over Duck Sauce. Nuff said]
Game ft Asher Roth, Tyga, Mars - White Soft Porn [off the Game's new mixtape]
Dr. Dre ft Eminem, Skylar Grey - I Need a Doctor [CD Quality version]
Sam Adams - Coming Home
Travis Barker ft Game, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Swizz Beatz - Can A Drummer Get Some
Kap Slap - Touch Your Arms Against Me
Kap Slap - Flux Monsters
Pretty Lights - All of the Lights Remix
Split Second - Your Song (Ellie Goulding x Blackmill x Split Second)
Split Second - Illmerica (Party Rock Remix)
Split Second ft Loggy - Pumped Up Kicks
Split Second - Fall From Grace [Split Second is a rapper out of Trinity College. Not bad]

I'm game if you are.

First off, I like the concept. A few things though. First and foremost, we have to set up a more legit way to share music than silly download links. I'll look into it over the next few days but its most likely going to be a private server or usenet. Talk to Lenny, he knows plenty about this crap.

Second, as much as I hate to say it, Geiger Tiger (still can't spell his name) is actually developing some good taste and after I butt raped his ipod I found some good stuff. Plus, he's really into it (music & Dj'ing) so i suggest you get him on here.

Finally, I'll post shit I like but i have to warn you that a lot of it is either 1) Gay as hell 2) straight up trance 3) hard to find (without a file sharing service). Also, since I'm not at school anymore I'm no where near caught up to the latest pop crap so if i post something late forgive me and don't go all Harnisch on my ass and say that's soooooo last week and then rush off to download it. Asshat.

Also, since we might be pulling off a lot of the same sites, why don't we go ahead and post the ones we use to avoid overlap / clue people in.

- way too serious about music

Firework (Liam Keegan Remix) -
http://www.livingelectro.com/song/28381/Katy%20Perry%20/Firework%20%28Liam%20Keegan%20Remix%29

This guy is a go to if you want remix's that don't eviserate the original but are great for mixing into sets or for dance parties. Also check out his teenage dream. Along that same vein, other remixers who don't completely dismantle songs are

- Dave Aude
- Jason Nevins
- Nick Evans
- Wideboys
- Fred Falke
- DJs From Mars (Until they did that absurd california gurls remix that just completely gutted the fucking van but is still kinda awesome)

And just for the hell of it

Matisse - Better than her (Discotech Remix)

Download this now and play it at parties. Harnisch, I know you're probably already all about the Akon version, but this one is much better. Can't find a good dl link.

Last but not least,

Heartbreaker (Wolfgang Gartner Remix)

http://www9.zippyshare.com/v/1724338/file.html

I was hoping to hear this one live and Laidback Luke actually played it at the show I went to (he knew it was better than his own remix). If you like this track you like house. If you don't, well then you're Fat or named Sam Worth.

Also Also,

This song has been haunting me.

I Will be here (wolfgang gartner Remix)

December Assorted

Enrique Iglesias - Tonight
Far East Movement - Rocketeer
Blaise Sindone - Dog Days Are Over Remix [chill rap over an indie song]
Chris Brown - Yeah 3x [not big at 'Gate, but obnoxiously present on every radio station at home]
White Panda - Stereo Hands [great mash by White Panda as they always seem to crank out]
Far East Movement ft. Keri Hilson - Don't Look Now [another jam from Far East Movement this time with Keri Hilson to bring it more mainstream]
Ciara ft. Usher - Turn It Up [an old song that never really took off but definitely a jam to have]
Usher - More (Bei Maejor Remix) [Hot Fire]
Example - Watch the Sun Come Up (Devil’s Gun Zeitgeist Remix) [little techno action]

Collin McLoughlin ft. Sam Adams - Monster [A little Colgate love for Collin McLoughlin '10.  He's been putting out some great tracks with his management team that also has Sam Adams under their belt.  He's moved on from the days of Fourte and his sound is pretty good. He's getting a lot of blog-love and will be releasing a track per week for the next month or so.]
